Iryna Martseva is a public sector professional specialising in international cooperation, external relations, and regional development. She currently serves as Chief Specialist at the Department of External Relations, Foreign Economic Activity and Interregional Cooperation within the Department of Economic Development of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration, where she is involved in developing international partnerships, supporting cooperation initiatives, and contributing to the region’s international engagement and project activities.

In 2026, she joined the team of Kent With Ukraine as an Advisor, supporting collaboration between Ukrainian regional institutions and UK-based partners, as well as contributing to humanitarian and capacity-building initiatives.

Iryna graduated with honours in 2020 with a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism from Chernihiv Polytechnic National University, and completed her Master’s degree in Tourism with honours in 2021 at the same institution. During her studies, she actively engaged in scientific research, academic conferences, and publications focused on globalisation processes, sustainable tourism, ecological tourism, and hospitality development.

In 2019, she participated in an Erasmus+ academic mobility programme at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences, studying in an international English-speaking environment and gaining exposure to European approaches to education, tourism, and applied learning.

In 2016, she took part in the Polish-Ukrainian cultural exchange programme “Be Social, Be Active”, focused on English language development, intercultural communication, and international academic cooperation.

From 2017 to 2020, during her academic development, she actively participated in international scientific conferences, presenting research on tourism development in Ukraine, ecological tourism, biodiversity preservation, and hospitality systems. Her work contributed to academic discussions and practical teaching materials within her university department.

In 2021, she completed the International Study Course in Innovation Management issued by the Fil. Dr. Jan-U. Sandal Institute.

In 2024, she completed the Training Program on European Union Affairs and Policies organised by the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Romanian Agency for International Development Cooperation, focusing on EU governance and international cooperation frameworks.

Since 2023, she has participated in the ENGin Program, continuously improving her conversational English through international communication practice.

In 2025, she completed the EOPA + USF Certificate in Public Leadership programme, including an educational visit to Washington, D.C. focused on leadership and public administration.

In 2026, she received the Certificate of Recognition in Conversational English Language Dynamics Online Program from MGI.

Alongside her professional activities, she has been involved in community initiatives, including the “Verkhy Nadii” (“Riders of Hope”) project supporting women’s mental health through equine-assisted therapy, implemented with support from American representatives of Bridle Up Hope.

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Iryna is passionate about foreign languages, intercultural communication, and continuous personal development. She is also involved in English language teaching and communication practice within professional and informal contexts, supporting international exchange and learning.

Her interests include travelling, public engagement, sustainable development, and community initiatives. Outside of work, she enjoys horseback riding, hiking in the mountains, and training at the gym, maintaining an active lifestyle and a strong interest in personal wellbeing, resilience, and mental health advocacy.
