Our Structure and Governance

Kent With Ukraine is a UK-based non-governmental organisation registered in England and Wales as a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee [Company No: 17220633]. We are proud to be a volunteer-led, non-political organisation with all members of our team giving their time, dedication, expertise and energy in support of Ukraine’s resilience, recovery and long-term future.

Kent With Ukraine's Board of Directors consists of Mrs Iris Smith, who oversees the strategic direction of Kent With Ukraine and Mrs Helen Ashenden, who manages our finances, fundraising and compliance. 

Our Founder and Head of Mission, Jordan Meade, is responsible for the operational running of the organisation on behalf of the Directors and Advisory Council, ensuring that Kent With Ukraine continues to deliver practical, accountable and impactful support where it matters most on the ground in Ukraine. In this role he is fully accountable to the Directors for all KWU activities.

The Advisory Council is made up of appointed volunteer experts who provide strategic guidance, external challenge and senior oversight of Kent With Ukraine’s work. This structure ensures that operational delivery, financial management, risk, safeguarding and partnership activity are subject to appropriate scrutiny as the organisation continues to grow.

Everyone at Kent With Ukraine subscribes to upholding the Nolan Principles of Public Life and we are proud to champion ethical governance, transparency and probity in all that we do.

Jordan has undertaken training in: Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults, Cyber Security Essentials, MOD Responsible for Handling Information (Civil Service Learning).
