Kent With Ukraine was delighted to take part in this year’s Gravesend Regatta, raising funds to support the continuation of its work in the Chernihiv Region and across Ukraine.

It was a genuine privilege for the us to be present as Gravesend celebrated 180 years of regatta racing on the River Thames. The weekend was a wonderful reflection of the town’s proud riverside heritage, bringing together residents, visitors, community groups and supporters for a truly memorable occasion.
Cllr Jordan Meade said: 'Kent With Ukraine extends its warmest thanks to the Gravesend Regatta Society and its dedicated team for organising such an impressive and enjoyable weekend. Their hard work ensured that this important local tradition was marked in fitting style'.
The Kent With Ukraine team are also deeply grateful to the many people who visited our stand, offered encouragement, made donations and took the time to learn more about the work that we are doing in the Chernihiv Region and more widely across Ukraine.
Cllr Meade continued: 'Those conversations demonstrated the strength of local support for Ukraine and the determination of people in Gravesend and beyond to stand alongside communities affected by the ongoing war.'
Every contribution from the day will help Kent With Ukraine continue delivering humanitarian, educational and partnership projects in Chernihiv and elsewhere, while keeping Ukraine firmly in the public consciousness during the difficult months ahead.
